Beech trees in summer, set against a sunlit screen of leaves. Line and wash technique.
Acrylic ink and fountain pen (lightfast ink) on watercolour paper, mounted in a near-white bevel-cut card mount and supplied with a backboard in a clear wrapper. The picture area is 4×4 inches (approx. 10 cm) and the mount is 8×8 inches (approx. 20 cm). Will fit a standard 8×8 inch frame of your choice, readily available from homeware stores on the high street or online.
These little paintings are made in “sets” of two or three that can be hung together (the horizons will line up and the colours and tones will be matched). Sets are denoted by title (and letter if appropriate) and their original order by number. Pictures can be bought separately – the grouping is for reference only. This is the first of three “Leaf Screen” pictures.
